There are several fish which do that. There's a line that runs along the sides of fish which carries a weak electrical field (not enough to be detectable by human hands) that detects changes in their environment. It's how they swim so closely in synchronized patterns in schools.
The fascinating part is how they use it for navigation, and then when in conflict with a rival fish use their own signal to jam their opponents signal.
